Hi

DD is looking to apply to secondary schools this academic year and has her heart set on CLSG (City of London School for Girls), and I was wondering if anyone knows the quality of pastoral care there?

Thanks

Sorry, I don't know much about this school. I'm a pastoral leader in another school. One thing I'd suggest you do is ask to see the school's policies on bullying and mental health support for students: these should be on their website but if they're not (disappointing) then email Admissions and ask to see a copy. Then if you visit the school and meet the head or head of year, etc., you can also ask them about these and how they're implemented.

The senior school recently launched a 'resilience programme' - really good, well thought-through document that gives good insight into the school's attitude to pastoral care. Might be worth asking the school if you can get hold of a copy....
