Wtf do i do now

Any information I need to try and find out before hand?

Should i start researching Stuff?

My appeal is on the same day as the first stage is that good or bad? In fact my "slot" is pretty soon after the school states their case so does that mean there will be like fifty cases after and mine will be long forgotten?

How do i not blow this the second o walk through the door?

What does one wear to an appeal? I own jeans and a funeral dress neither really suitable if I want to look like we belong there and aren't part of some project where we get the sympathy vote...

Oh god I'm so nervous.....

So that's it. All out of options now. Waiting list positions were grim. Just going to have to make the best of a poor school

No, we tutored for the 11 plus and still didn't get anywhere. She's not grammar school material.

Guess we weren't this school material either. There was no way I could have competed with the people who showed up all either in suits with experience of public speaking and what looked like entire case files...i showed up on my own looking massively out of place.

So sorry Giles. We are still waiting for our appeal date but friends have advised us that if we've not got a place by xmas to re-apply immediately in the New Year as the schools' waiting lists will start again from scratch then and most people will stay with where they started in September. Don't know if that's an option for you? Best of luck anyway with whatever happens.

Oh Giles I'm sorry to hear that. We weren't suited and booted with files and stuff so don't go blaming yourself for not looking the part.
Our next move would have been to try and get it named on an EHCP. We're still need the EHCP anyway. Is that an option for you?

Thank you both. It's disappointing but expected hard to appeal for somewhere when there's not anything in particular that is specialist about it if that makes sense. Felt more like an interpretation tbh ( a friendly one but am Interregation none the less)

They seemed to be rather confused and fixated on something and it kimda threw me a bit.

But I tried. That's all anyone can do. Hopefully her school will improve and we won't have to worry so much about it.

There's no echp or anything so no naming the school. Will keep eye on the waiting lists.

Dd not too disappointed thankfully. She's have liked it but she's happy enough with her current school.
