Can anyone recommend a school in Farnham / F'boro area (or further afield) which is strong on drama / music but also academic? We need a supportive school for our academic, performing dd (who may need time off - obviously not something that goes down well with every school...). Considering Lord Wandsworth, Frensham Heights, Farnborough Hill... Anyone got any views on these schools? Thank you.

St. Edmund’s in Hindhead?

Frensham Heights is excellent for performing arts.

It’s a very laid back school -no uniform, call teachers by their first name.

Bedales?

Thank you for all the suggestions - maybe I'm wrong but I thought St Edmunds was a prep school, Trinity?
Bedales we have thought about but she'd have to board and I'm not too sure about that - also we're possibly not quite glam enough! (-:
Keen to hear anyone's experiences of Bedales tho' and also Lord Wandsworth... We were really just wondering if there was a school we'd overlooked...

Should have said: thank you for your info on Frensham, Crafty. It is definitely a favourite for us but I'm not sure whether it's academic enough. That's why we're wondering about F'boro Hill and L Wandworth...

St Ed’s goes up to 16 now, they have their second cohort sitting GCSEs this year., so the senior section is fully established. The head of drama is fantastic!

Ooh I didn't know that, trinity. Thank you - I'll look into it!
