My son has been offered a place at Eltham College, which is lovely.
We actually only applied because he's very sporty, but he didn't get asked to the sports scholarship assessment day, and he's also not been offered an academic scholarship.
So he can't go - we can't afford it.
I have two questions...

would you tell him? My husband thinks we shouldn't tell him he passed the test at all because he'd be disappointed - he really loves the school.

anyone know if there's ever any movement on scholarships? I have no experience of private schools and he only sat this one test so I don't really know how it all works. Is there a waiting list? Or is it just no, and that's that?
