Hi my son is Dyslexic but loves Art and Drama - I am looking for a school that specialise in Art or Drama in south west London (although happy to travel if needed)
Are there any schools out there with an Aptitude test in art and drama that he could get into? Unfortunately all the
Schools in our area do not have a strong Art /Drama department (the schools that he could get to in our zone ) - any advise is welcome - thank you .

No state schools are allowed to test by aptitude afaik

Private schools might have drama and/or art scholarships for which there will be an assessment or requirement to produce a portfolio. But you would still need to comply with any academic requirements. Boarding schools that are strong in the arts include Frensham Heights and Bedales, both of which not particularly academically selective.

With regard to drama I would concentrate on finding some great extra curricular provision: local amdram, classes, theatre youth provision etc and get the support your son needs for his dislexia in school.

State schools can certainly offer scholarships based on aptitude for language, sports, music etc. Have you looked into Kingsdale which is South London, they have several aptitude tests for different fields.
