One of my DDs left 6th form over 3 years ago, so a bit out of date...to be fair, a new head has started since she left, so it may be very different. There was some very odd behaviour from the SLT at the time she was there.
Very pressurised, to the extent that the girls in year 13 wrote en masse to the SLT. They felt the staff cared only for results not them.
DDs year was very cliquey and some girls were quite nasty - this continued into Sixth.
Perception that staff were only interested in Oxbridge candidates. Some appalling teaching, to the extent of all in a particular class hiring a tutor. DD did mainly science A levels. On a separate matter, I was forced to complain about bullying from her form tutor - the only time I have ever complained about a teacher.
She got the results she needed but remember, this school gets good results because all the girls are very clever.
On the plus side, there was no spoon feeding and DD had to organise her own study and learn good study skills in the process - this was good prep for Uni.
She certainly learned resilience, but her confidence was absolutely shattered and she nearly gave up her uni place. Happily it is nothing like bloody Tiffin Girls.
