Outstanding wiltshire secondary schools?

We are currently relocating to within 10-15 miles of Frome for husbands work. I'm mindful of moving somewhere that sits in a good secondary catchment area, even though our little one is a few years off secondary level. Salisbury seems to have an abundance of outstanding schools but too far out. How does wiltshire fare and which ones are good within this radius? Thanks

St Augustines in Trowbridge is very good indeed, but is Catholic. Having said that, if you are not but get your child into a feeder school, you will get a place. St Lawrence's in Bradford on Avon also has a good reputation.

The two single-sex schools in Bath, Hayesfield and Beechen Cliff, particularly the latter, which is boys-only, have an excellent reputation, and Ralph Allen isn't bad either, so you could aim for between Bath and Frome for those.

Chippenham- Hardenhuish and Sheldon both good secondary comprehensive schools. About 15 miles from Frome. Corsham another possibility, just outside Bath towards Chippenham.

Look at www.locrating.com
Gives you lots of basic information about every school in your chosen area including catchment areas for each school. It might help you decide where to base yourself.

Chippenham-Frome is about a 45 minute commute on a good day, so I wouldn't fancy that myself. Corsham is a bit easier, but not much.
