Private School Harrogate/York/Wakefield

Can anyone please comment on private schools in the above areas? Looking at Ethelburgas in particular and possibly Silcoates in Wakefield. also considering Bootham but not Quaker so not sure how that would work. Anyone? Thanks.

I have no real knowledge of your area except that I believe that if you search the threads for Ethelburgas on here you will find quite a lot of them that are probably worth a read.

What about Leeds? GSAL? Is your child a boy or girl because there's Gateways (girls school) between Leeds and Harrogate

You do not have to be a Quaker to go to a Quaker school. I have only ever heard really good things about Boothams.

Hi it's for a boy. I don't think he'll pass the exam at the GSAL tbh, he's fairly bright but it seems quite tough to get in. He's not particularly outgoing either (he is lovely though!) :o)
