Does anyone have any views on Rendcomb College? Thinking about it for sixth form for my child. I know the new Head has reduced fees to build up numbers in the sixth form - how is this working out? Would it be a good place for a very academic but disorganised child?

Thank you.

Thanks chelt7. You’re right. My children have been through both Junior and Seniors at Rendcomb. I’ve been so thrilled with what they’ve achieved on the sports field and academically. Funnily enough I didn’t put them through the grammar tests and chose Rendcomb so that they could be well-rounded individuals. With them in the seniors they are loving every minute. My oldest achieved a number of As and A* at GCSE including in triple science, so all the comments about it not being an academic environment perplex me. A small school will always have varied results each year, depending on the cohort.
Have you noticed that old pupils return and visit? I often see them in Reception!
Quite frankly, I wanted good food, fresh air, outdoor living and an academic environment for my children with its fair share of fun! I think I’ve got it!
If you want your children to have a childhood, it’s definitely the right place!

Rendcomb is an amazing school! The kids have access to fantastic education from well educated and dedicated teachers in awe inspiring surroundings - what more could anyone ask for. While it is not an exam hot house - it does not market itself as one! It offers far more in the way of holistic education. That said, it gets great results. I wish I had had the opportunity to go somewhere like that as a child!

Hello, I am considering Rendcomb College for my two daughters age 13 and 7 and would appreciate some up to date feedback. It will be a big move for us from a lovely school in Devon.
