Independent School forgot to submit my son's A Level Re-marks!!

So my son's school forgot to submit his A Level remark to the exam board despite reviewing his paper and agreeing he could improve his mark. The exam board will not remark it now. The Exam Officer called me to apologise after me chasing her for 3 weeks for a response and her sending me a copy of the paper with a few ticks on it to try and make me go away! Got another son still at the school (yr11). I am shocked and lost for words. What would you do?

There's not much you can do now. Deadline was in September. However this year there wasn't opportunity to recall papers then submit a remark. Unlike previous years a remark only checked for errors and wasn't a full review of the script itself. Did the grades affect your ds choice of uni?

Yep! I cannot believe it! I did get the opportunity to recall the papers and the teacher agreed they should be re-marked. His other paper improved his grade by one for another subject. This will affect him forever and all the school said was sorry! Can you tell I am angry?! :-/

It won't affect him forever. Whatever he does next will quickly supersede the odd A level grade.

Could he resit next summer if he's studying a related subject? At the school's expense?

I'd be fucked off but there's no guarantees it would have changed anyway. Was it AS or A2?
