Coombes boys school any good ?

We are relocating to London from Leicestershire and are looking at Coombes Boys as possibly has some places in year 9/10 as a I. Year application haven't been to visit yet but does anyone know what it's like or others nearby ..

No direct experience of the school but hear it is much improved since being federated with Coombe Girls, the local outstanding girls school. CB is now rated Good and still improving. There is joint sixth form with CGS which CB boys get guaranteed place for as long as meet minimum requirements. The sixth form is very good and in high demand, very difficult to get in as an outside applicant.

My DD is at CGS, have been very happy with it.

Thank you for sharing I am so worried about which to school to go for. All the outstanding or other choices are wait lists and over subscribed as expected.Shall make an appointment to visit Coombes boys and Southborough boys too.
