Any thoughts on this school please -good, bad, indifferent...
Thinking of it for 11+ and like its ethos but choosing schools seems to be like buying houses - you only get to find out what it's really like once you've moved in! So any current HCH parents' views would be much appreciated. Thanks

On at least one previous thread, concerning another school, it has been because a s litigious school's solicitor has come in hard and fast with threats of legal action against both MN and every individual poster who has commented negatively.

Those situations put MNHQ in an awkward position as they can be obliged to reveal what member details they have. They're not, therefore, it's making a decision on their own behalf.

I have no idea if similar has happened here but it always baffles me that a school would request retractions or threaten legal action. The result looks so much worse, PR wise.

I'm now told that MNHQ have received a complaint of possible libel about one of my posts on this thread too.

Well you'd think wouldn't you?

Just5minswithDacre · 05/08/2016 00:33

I still don't know what was said Judy. I'd never heard of the school until this thread.

My DS attended HCH and was very happy there and very academic. He passed his GCSE with mainly As and As and then attended KGS (now studying at Warwick University). Strong English, Maths, Science and Language departments. It was the best experience. Very nurturing and respectful environment.

Hi

Desperate for any information regarding Hampton Court House school. Rather annoyed that several comments have been removed from the forum.

If anybody has had any experience with HCH, please get in touch.

Would love some helpful advice, info, criticisms and positive feedback on the school before my husband and I visit it next week.
Thanks, D

I know nothing about this school, and this thread is now pretty much without any content, but the message still comes through loud and clear!

MN, please keep the thread up, as this kind of approach must be exposed if it cannot be resisted

Megatherium · 19/02/2017 17:47

Wow, having looked at this thread, I have to say I'm not impressed by HCH.

Before they bang off their usual letter to MN, I'd like to point out that a genuine expression of opinion cannot be libellous.
