Yaaaay! Waiting list came through for DD!

We're just bursting with happiness! Our DD was 23rd on the waiting list for her first choice school, which is very oversubscribed year on year, and had settled for her second choice (which is also very good but a much further journey -- two trains and a bus at the end, about an hour and ten minutes each way). Well, today an offer came through from her first choice school and we grabbed it :-). These things really do happen!

We got a place from the waiting list too. But it was 3 days after the appeal.

The council where the school was had her two places at one point according to them.

Congratulations to your Dd. Our council has changed things this year. We no longer have to accept the place given. I wonder if this will affect the waiting lists especially if people are going private. We didn't get our waiting list place until December and that was from being 5th on offer day.
