Waiting List for Caterham School

Hi Everyone, My DS is on the waiting list for Caterham School and we will only hear after March 7th. I just wondered whether anyone else looking at this has a DC on the waiting list and if you know anything at all about the size of the waiting list or indeed the likelihood that anyone offered a place at Caterham will decline? All I know is that the waiting list is selective (i.e. there are some children who would not have made the waiting list). Thoughts much appreciated!

Hi LLL, I emailed them this morning and they replied saying they were about to notify everyone today that they are full and unable to offer places to those on the reserve list. Glad that you like Lingfield. Best of luck!

sorry to hear that tea - though I have a feeling these things normally work out for the best and Lingfield will be great for your ds

Thanks for your help Ladymuck and Foragogo. Yes, these thing usually work out for the best. Lingfield ND is slightly easier on the pocket too which is quite welcome.

Hi teaforone or anyone on this thread really - tea you mention that C were about to inform everyone on their reserve list that they are full etc - interested to see if anyone had received such a letter from C yet?

Obviously we'd given up waiting - the lack of a courteous letter from C is a shame .......

Hi J&T, I can't find the letter but I am pretty sure I received one saying that places were fully subscribed and inviting us to apply again at 13+. From your point of view, I guess it's worth pursuing just to make absolutely sure that they were not holding back just a few places until people confirmed based on bursaries or scholarships maybe.....does seem strange that you did not receive a letter....Hope you have secured a decent place elsewhere.
