Hi - anyone want to join to support each other?

Believe that 2016 will be the 4th year of the new system.

Is the exam format the same each year?

1)A multiple choice comprehension
2)A maths paper
3)NVR

I believe that it is 2 multiple choice papers each covering verbal (including comprehension), numerical and non-verbal. You should find some materials at elevenplusexams forums.

I would say if your child is bright, don't panic.

It's a pass / fail test. So doesn't matter if you get 122 or 142. So really not that bad.

Approx 25% of pupils pass. If your child is comfortably in top 25% don't stress.

If they're more borderline either panic or accept either school could be good for him.

Not sure where you live but there are some very good non grammars in bucks. Like everywhere the more affluent the catchment the better the school.

The good thing about the Bucks test is they do the test, and a mock, in school. So they do t stress. It's all very familiar. (As opposed to a strange school on a Saturday)
