My dd is having this test, just started y7.
First of all what does it tell the teachers/parents and secondly are there different levels of the test.
The school said they test whichever year the child joins the school so 7, 8, 9.
We have a parents meeting in November so will know the results, progress etc then, but for the time being wanted to be a bit more informed. The last levels I have for her are level 3's at the end of ks1 Grin so it will be interesting.

Most schools do not tell you your child's MidYis score. We only found out when DS left one school to go to another in yr 9 and it was included in his reference from headmaster.

DS clearly stronger in numerical 139 whereas only 115 in verbal.

@ReservoirDogs so the results are given in 4 numbers plus a Band ranking (so to speak)

ReservoirDogs · 29/11/2022 16:11

Yes if your school does tell you the result you get the numerical score per section and then the ABCD denotes what centile you are in compared to that cohort as in 1-25 , 26-50 etc so if a cleverer cohort your score may put you in a lower band than other years.

@ReservoirDogs the cohort being your school cohort ? or the cohort of all the kids of the same age group taking the test? thanks so much

nationwide cohort
