Small independent school for anxious Y8

I've post this is chat too, for traffic.

We need to find a small independent school in the Midlands for an academically able Y8 girl who really benefits from interaction with animals and needs quite a nurturing environment.

Any recommendations please?

Did you get the posts you wanted in Chat Gold? Smile

Is there a GDST school in your area? My DD is at one and they are fairly academic but also well rounded. Each has its own flavour and emphasis though.

I didn't know about the GDST. Sadly the nearest one is way beyond commuting distance but thanks anyway.

I got a couple of suggestions in chat and am still scouring the internet looking for possibilities.

Abbots Bromley

Bredon school? It has/a farm . Tewkesbury may be to south for you though

Are you near enough to S Anselms, Bakewell? Small classes, nurturing, non-selective but does excellently by high achieving DC. (Better than Abbots Bromley, and I have experience of both)
There was a discussion on MN a few months ago -

Sadly Bredon isn't an option for us although geographically it is perfect.

Will look at the one in Bakewell.

Thanks again
