My dd did hers on something about Western feminism and Islam. She's just finished her first year at university, and reckons that the skills she aquired doing her EPQ have been more useful to her than her A levels. She is positively evangelical about it to younger friends.

Untred - I am aware that they are choices my DD has made (although the tutoring is how she earns money & not voluntary). But she has chosen to do these things as she enjoys them and has not chosen to do an EPQ. The choices she has made are optional and the EPQ should remain optional. At the moment she does have a good social life and free time but wouldn't have if she was forced to do an EPQ.

Dd1 thought about doing an epq but did another AS instead.

Dd2 is planning on doing one - hers will be an artefact, as she wants to write it in one of her MFLs. She has a lot of reading (in three languages) lined up for the summer!
