Moira House Girls School Eastbourne

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting here and was hoping someone can help us.
Our 11yo dd is due to start senior school this coming Sept and we have looked at many state and independent schools in our area.

We all really like the look of Moira House and were just wondering if anyone on Mumsnet had any info regarding the school or whether anyone currently sends their dd there?

We attended a recent open day, like the ethos/head etc and are very close to signing on the dotted line but know no one who has a child there for some inside info.

Any info greatly received. Thanks

My Best friend was a boarder there in the late 90's and loved it! I went to visit a couple of times and thought it was really nice.

My daughter started year 7 at Moura House Sept 2015. We really love the school and my daughter seems to be excelling. She's become far more motivated and independent and loving the new subjects she is studying now.
The day is very long (8.15-5.15) but she's done some wonderful extra curricular clubs so far and keeps joining more and more clubs! I would definitely recommend taking a further look and signing on the line!
