Out of curiosity as dc will be doing these eventually and just to get my head round it. Im a bit shocked at the number or results sent back by schools for remarking and even more shocked that they came back with improved grades. Does this mean the powers that be that mark the papers are making mistakes in marking the papers? of course there is always the possibility of mistakes but its the sheer volume that surprises me.
Does anyone on here (who works within the exam board possibly) know how exam papers are marked in this country? what is the process?
