We are currently moving to beckenham in which our nearest school would be langley boys (0.5 miles). My ds currently in year 8 attends another school in the borough (2.2 miles away) in the same borough. It's an outstanding school another one of the better schools in the borough although I'm not entirely happy with the approach and support they have on offer. I know langley is an oversubscribed school but what are the chances that they would have spaces in year 8. The school nor the La was able to tell me and said I would have to fill out a transfer application form. If they don't have space it seems pointless and a waste of time filing out forms just got them to say the school has no space
