Hi there
Am a newbie and my DD is in year 5. She is planning to write Kendrick entrance next year but as a back up, I was looking at Holt School in Winnersh. But I need to move in to Holt catchment. Having looked at the admissions procedure for this year, it is a bit confusing as to when I need to be in the catchment. Has anyone gone thru this or has any idea?

many thanks

Having looked at the admission arrangements for Holt, the admission criteria do use catchment zone to give a level of priority for admission. It would seem that as an over-subscribed school it is likely that you will need to be in catchment to have a reasonable chance of gaining a place.
That means you need to apply by 31st October 2015 and to have moved there by the 31st October 2015 to be sure of being counted as being in catchment. Schools use your address on the last day for on-time applications as the basis of the address to use for admission purposes
