Unexpected AS results

Been away so DD got results yesterday.
Was predicted CCCC
Got AA (Philosophy & History) but D (physics) & U (maths)
She really wants to drop maths but I understand that Physics without maths is really hard & the school strongly discourage. But surely with a U theres not much point in pursuing?
She really wants to do some form of Geography at Uni but I'm hoping the D&U won't have ruined her chances.
Obviously she'll talk to the school next term but any advice would be welcome.

Also see if the unis and courses she's interested in might accept 2A2s and 2 ASs instead of 3A2s. That way she could do History and Geography A2 and Physics (resitting the E module) and maybe economics, politics, sociology or perhaps World Development or Travel and Tourism at AS (or A2 for World Development or Travel and Tourism, both of which are easier and quite heavily linked to Geog. especially).

Or geology AS might be a good idea, linking Physics and Geography nicely?

Great ideas, she can talk to the school about it when she's back. I know they definitely offer economics & sociology, not sure about the others. Thank you.
