I know, I am a complete tit.
We are supposed to be moving house imminently and everything has gone to pot, I've packed everything useful like the name tapes, because we were anticipating exchanging in FEBRUARY and have bought basically none of the uniform, we had a failed appeal for another school which meant we didn't even know where he was going till fairly recently, and to be honest I really dislike the school I am sending him to.
So it's probably one of those subconscious things where I don't want to find it all.
However I have to know when the second hand uniform sale dates are, where we can buy the uniform from if not, what he has to bring, and even his welcome booklet with the info and map and everything has GORN. It is a massive pack of papers and I put them somewhere 'safe' a few weeks ago in the end of term chaos.
AND I failed to notice the tiny date at the bottom of the Induction day letter asking for it to be returned by July 11th (to be fair I don't think we had even received it by then - they are not very organised themselves) and when I tried to ring and email two weeks later, with massive apologies, asking if he could still come, they were not there.
This is at the end of August and we will probably just turn up.
I'm a total fail of a parent and don't know what to do except run around screaming.
