Bloody hell - we've only gone and won our appeal

It was last week. Done in 2 stages with the LA case being heard first all together then individuals separately. Two lots - ours on Wednesday, others on Friday. Told we wouldn't hear until later this week.

DH rings me this afternoon and says have you heard about school? No I say. I have he says. He's been rung by school to ask if we're accepting the place. He says we haven't even been told the news & haven't even told dd we've appealed. They say oh ok not to worry. Let us know when you can.

Well done!! Accept now in writing/by email and ask them when you should expect written confirmation.

And that is worrying in some respects because the letter from the LA is supposed to go out to you and the school at the same time. Hopefully you will get the official letter tomorrow but I do suggest holding off celebrating or telling son until you get the letter in your hands and have said yes we want the place.

Thankfully the letter had arrived when we got home. dd bless her was worried about accepting the place because it would mean one of her circle of friends being on her own. Had to explain that friendships come & go but that the school offered her the better options.
