We live in Australia and will be moving to england for an adventure. My daughter will be entering sixth form in September 2014 in the uk. she is naturally academically gifted but very social and very funny as well. we are after a great grammar school. We have recently sent applications to Dr Challoners High and Sir William Borlase's Grammar School as these came up as good performers when researching. I'm too late to apply for Beaconsfield or Wycombe High. I noticed a magazine by the name of "tattler" recommended swbgs as one to try for. Any feedback would be great.

Tatler is a society magazine and not necessarily to be trusted on educational matters. Have you checked with the schools that your DD has the attainment to follow an A level course? She will be expected to do 4 subjects. Are there similarities in the Australian curriculum and the British A level one? You might find it easier to get into Chesham High School but all the grammar schools will need to be sure of educational compatibility or she will have difficulty adjusting to our requirements, irrespective of how bright she is. There are also independent schools such as Pipers Corner that might be worth a look if the grammar route does not materialise.
