Curriculum for Excellence Scotland- Nationals this year- anyone?

Does anyone have a son or daughter about to sit prelims for the CoF Nationals in 4th Year atm?
My normally very easy going son is feeling stressed just now as teachers are preparing and panicking while they prepare for this first set of exams.

My son has been one of the trailblasers/guinea pigs as the new curriculum has been poorly implimeneted across the country.

My DD has just finished her N5 prelims, some were sat in November and some just the last couple of weeks. Her year are sitting 8 subjects, and those who are doing Nat 5 level are also completing the requirements for Nat 4 as a fallback.

My son has just done his prelims too. Aberdeen decided to do a max of 6 Nat 5s, so as not to pressure the kids in the first cohort. They too have also completed Nat 4s as a fall back. Although there was a bit of uncertainty about how the exams would be, Son's feedback from the prelims was that they were fine, one or two things left to cover but will complete the syllabus and have some revision time before the actual exams.

I do feel a little unsettled as my Dss teachers seem to be in a flap atm and making the kids feel under pressure. I have every confidence in the teaching staff but I feel that the CoE has not been implimented as smoothly as it could have been, including laison with the SQA.

My son is doing 8 National 5s, including Scottish studies, he won't sit his prelims until after the Feb break- at least that gives a week of study.
he is normally such a placid easy going guy but he is showing lots of signs of stress.
Still we have an hour of badminton booked this afternoon- just him and I, a chance for him to let off steam, and we usually have a good chat about things on the car journey.

It does seem that the SQA has been slow to get example papers etc out to schools. We used the following link to get an idea of possible Nat 5 maths questions:
