Hello. Have a look at the school's website. There is a 32 page prospectus which should answer most of the questions you have. It is very informative.
The distance quoted is 1.256 miles but there are conditions.

Read the schools Admissions policy very carefully, and also look at Camden's website. They should publish a secondary admissions booklet and give all the admissions information for all the schools from last year - how many applications, how many siblings (if relevant) last distance admitted.

It is a banded comp and admits 28 children from each of four ability bands. Admission priority within each band is then on Looked after children, Siblings, S/M Need and then distance, measured as a straight line. . 8 places are awarded on musical merit.

You have to live within 1.256 miles to even apply. However the actual last distances in 2013 were .67, .4, .5, .28 of a mile for bands A-D respectively (A being highest ability), and in 2012 .37, .32. .36 and .25

Read the prospectus and visit, anyway - otherwise how do you know it is suitable?

Hi,
Does anyone know if Camden school for girls has a dining policy?!? I've got three girls and am just wondering whether I need to be 0.2 miles from the school gates
For all three or whether the sibling policy will get them in once my first gets in.
It's all so complicated!!!

Sibling policy not dining policy!!! Oops sorry!!!

Yes.
It has a sibling policy. As I say in my post below.

If your eldest dd is likely to be in the lowest ability band then, yes, you will need to live within .2 of a mile. To be comfortable it looks as if you need to live within .3 of a mile because the distance can always shrink. But once your oldest is in, the others will get in whatever ability band they are in.

Go to the school website and read the admissions policies and papers under the 'Information' tab.
And go Camden Council website and read the admissions booklet.

Have a look at the other schools that would be available if you didn't get in, visit the school...why this particular school?

It seems to have always had a good reputation - irrelevant of who is teaching or running the school. Are there any other schools that you would recommend?

Camden borough has a number of good schools- don't get too hung up on CSG. Check out Parliament Hill too, or La Sainte Union if you're RC.
