Secondary schools in Cornwall - Private or state.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with secondary education within Cornwall (we are based in Liskeard).
I have 3 sons aged 1-7, we moved to Cornwall last August and have the 2 eldest settled in a really nice primary school which we are over the moon with but, I have increasing fears about finding a suitable secondary school for them.

I would be most grateful to any parents out there for some input on good schools, especially those with very bright children.

Take a look at the Grammar Schools in Plymouth - Devonport High School for Boys, Devonport High School for Girls and Plymouth High (Girls, I think).

For local State, speak to Looe Community Academy about their results and visit too - I think there are open evenings coming up for secondaries in the next month or so.

If you don't want to go to secondary on your doorstep I suspect there is going to be some travel and cost involved but that is par for the course for many living in rural areas.

Just seen they are all boys - that closes the door on the Plymouth Girls Grammar. Sorry, didn't read it properly!
