Hi All
I am getting to that panic stage looking at all possibilities. Our dd is in year 5 and we want to move to Bromley to get her into a school which we think is better for her needs. We have two other dds who are in primary school with her and will continue at that school for the next few years as it is very good. We had loads of problems selling our house and after months got an offer which was mediocre but we accepted it as it leaves us in a position to purchase another property. I would prefer to sell and purchase at the same time but I think I am running out of time and am now looking at renting at the mercy of the landlords who are the real beneficiaries of small catchment areas.

There is a requirement to show that I do not own a property (sold one if I had one) if I am renting and I must show proof that this is the case such as a solicitors letter. Have you gone through this and what have you been asked for and have they accepted it where you have sold your property after the admissions date.

I am thinking of renting and then trying to get a reasonable offer on our house rather than accept a fire sale price so that my proof of no connection with my house will be after the admission date.
