Sixth Form - Langley Boys School

I am curious ...... anyone's son got an offer from Langley Boys School? My son has been declined and I know of three girls who have offers.... also one boy who has chosen media studies, IT and film studies..... Are they only taking A A* students?

Possibly. I have an older son that didn't get offered a place there, if I recall he was predicted A's and B's.

Do you have good other choices?

Yes, we have Hayes and Ravensbourne, but am curious that we seem to know of mainly girls that have got offers. Langley is our nearest school so would have been easier - am a bit annoyed that girls seem to have more choices - or maybe I have that wrong?

Mostly girls from lpgs got in, in his year.

My DS1 has had an offer from Langley Boys. His predicted grades are all A* bar 1 (A) so maybe your assumption is correct. And perhaps they make more offers to girls as external candidates so as to balance the sexes a bit more. I know of at least 2 girls from DS1's school who got offers.

DS1 won't get his A*s by the way, as he hasn't done nearly enough work. I'm just hoping for As. He'll have to get A in Maths to take up the Langley offer.
