Ursuline College, Westgate

Has anyone had any experience of this school? We're thinking about moving to Kent, but have abandoned the idea of gs, as our son is too bleeding lazy to do the work, and ideally I'd prefer somewhere RC with good pastoral care, as ds has disabilities (but no statement). So be good to find out if the kids are kind and reasonably well-behaved.

Apparently it got 57% 5 A to C last year, which in a gs area is impressive - ds is a 1b band, so I want him to go somewhere he can achieve if he decides to pull his finger out.

I know it's relatively new as a state school, but any feedback would be good.

Unfortunately there is something bad to say about Ursuline College. There's a teacher there who holds racist views but is still in post. Myself and other parents aren't particularly happy about it.

I know it was a lovely school 30 or so years ago. I'll have a word with my mum who will be more in tune with local stuff. I can't imagine there is much discussion of racism in an area that is almost entirely white.
