Recommendations for a hairdresser and dermatologist in Edinburgh or East Lothian

Can anyone recommend a hairdresser in Edinburgh/ East Lothian? I need a restyled into something funky as I am now old / ancient and trying to glow up. Would love a decent cut from someone that can cut , doesn’t need to be all glamorous.

and while I’m at it I have TERRIBLE skin and leg veins so if anyone knows of a good dermatologist. Can you tell I’ve just turned 60?!

Hmm the leg vein stuff is typically covered at bupa places isn’t it? Mine haven’t liked the hot weather - if you haven’t got compression leggings (gym leggings basically) they help a lot and are a bit less obvious than the compression socks…

now I need to find skincare as I am getting very odd things happening.
I found some vein clinic which starts about 4k ( don’t have bupa). I never really understood if they strip the veins out surely the other veins have too much to do?

I had the same question as you but apparently the varicose veins aren’t really doing the job any more so the other ones are doing the work anyway (or that’s what I took from what was said). I’ve had varicose veins for 30 odd years, it’s weird that they are now basically gone.

Didn’t hurt. The support stockings are a bit annoying but not terrible. The bigger veins left a brownish mark on the skin which is gradually fading, I can’t remember what the reason for this
is (I was told). Tbh, I hadn’t given getting rid of them much thought, I’d had them since mid-teenage years, but I was looking at my teenager children comfortably wearing shorts without a second’s thought and it dawned on me that I’d never had that feeling. I probably won’t be wearing the shorts but it’s quite nice to be in my fifties and feel like a part of me is in better condition than it was in my youth rather than worse. A novelty!

pollyskenwood a novelty indeed! It would be nice not to hide away! I’ve had mine forever too. I’m so glad you can feel all youthful and justifiabley gorgeous !
everytime I consider something like veins or Botox I think I’d better lose weight/ go to the gym first. Gah!

Nah, anything you do that makes you feel better flows into more positive actions. I try not to wait for permission from myself these days.
