Commonwealth Games - anyone got seat allocations yet?

Hello

Has anyone got their seat allocations for the Games yet? Especially for the swimming?

I really hated not being able to choose seats so want to hear soon…. We may cancel hotels if the seats are rubbish and we’re not sat together. But it’s getting tight to do that without losing a lot of money.

I've booked athletics and haven't heard anything yet. Like you, I've made bookings for accommodation and my travel was pretty pricey too. Fingers crossed.

FYITMI · 20/06/2026 20:46

I've got swimming tickets- no seat allocation yet

PigeonParty · 20/06/2026 23:25

Thanks both. At least I haven’t missed an email… I really hope it’s soon.

Nothing here either…we have extortionate athletics tickets so will be pretty upset if we are in the back row behind a support column!

PigeonParty · 22/06/2026 13:18

It’s so frustrating @GTTSR ! The notes about no guarantees being sat together really made me query whether to buy them at all. We love any live sport but as a family - not sat with 2 of us in one place and 2 in another….

Nothing here either for gymnastics. I also need to sell an U18 ticket because DD doesn't want to come. They promised a resale site but I can't find any information about it.

PigeonParty · 22/06/2026 23:12

Yes - it still just says there’ll be a resale platform “ahead of the Games”. It’s all very tight.

I had no idea they were in the UK this time.

Issy422 · 04/07/2026 14:58

Seats are allocated now. If you log in to your account and 'manage tickets' you can see where you're sat. DD and I would have been sat together. I have just listed her gymnastics ticket, so hoping it gets resold.

h0rsewithn0name · 04/07/2026 16:04

Thank you @Issy422 , I've checked and my allocation is there too. Will we get a ticket to print or a QR code do you think? I haven't yet.

PigeonParty · 04/07/2026 18:06

Oh no - mine aren’t there! More worry…. Hopefully soon.

Just checked and there's still no swimming seat allocation for me either.

h0rsewithn0name · 05/07/2026 08:32

Our allocation may have been done earlier, as they are disabled seats. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

Issy422 · 05/07/2026 16:14

Mine are standard cat C seats for the gymnastics on Saturday 25th and Monday 27th. Maybe being done by date or venue?

The FAQ page on resale stated updated 9 days ago (yesterday), so presume they started allocating around then. Resale is frustrating because there are a few single seats on there. I would happily swap seats to free up two together, but that is not an option. Would have been better to have been available before seats were allocated, so they could have freed up a block together.

Nothing in my email @h0rsewithn0name . I just happened to log on yesterday to see if I could resell. Not sure if we'll get anymore than the e-ticket in the app.

Issy422 · 05/07/2026 16:24

Just checked FAQs - state tickets will be issued as a pdf and Apple/Google wallet link to emails no earlier than 14 days before the event.

PigeonParty · 05/07/2026 17:59

Thanks all. Thanks @Issy422 I hadn’t found that FAQ. Good to know not to panic just yet!

OP posts:
FYITMI · 06/07/2026 19:52

I saw this in the FAQs:
Q: How do I access my tickets?
A: We will begin issuing public tickets from 9 July. Please allow until 16 July for your tickets to arrive before contacting the Games about any missing tickets. You’ll receive them as a PDF download or via a digital wallet (Apple/Google)

FYITMI · 06/07/2026 19:55

Am interested in advice on how early to turn up at Tollcross- went to a heats session at the pool in Birmingham in 2022 and it took an hour and a half to get through the queues/ security bag search and to run around finding our seats (it was massive).

butteriesplease · 09/07/2026 10:58

hi, I bought tickets in October or whenever it was, and blimey, they make it hard to work out if you have actually bought anything! I have confirmation I paid, but no actual tickets as yet. It's just me and my 13yo, so I really hope we are sat together, or not sure how that might work... hoping tickets appear next week, as our event is Friday 31st.

LaliqueSaltGrinder · 09/07/2026 12:19

The whole thing seems like amateur hour compared with last time we hosted the Games. They announced yesterday that they were dishing out freebie tickets to the Scotland football supporters' club = we have loads of excess capacity.

I hope those of you waiting get what you wanted and have paid for though.

PigeonParty · 09/07/2026 13:04

Tickets for 24th July here and still no actual tickets or seat allocations! I’m relying on the FAQs found by PPs. 🤞

Issy422 · 10/07/2026 00:52

My tickets arrived by email today.

Edited to add: says gates open 1.5 hours before start.

Imicola · 10/07/2026 11:11

Argh, very frustrating. I could have sworn they said when I booked that all the gymnastics sessions would be a mix of women's and men's gymnastics, but it now shows as only men's. We've got 3 seats in a row, then 2 in front of those, plus another 2 together and a single on the other side of the hall! I've bought an additional ticket directly next to the first 3 and will try to resell the singleton. What a rubbish system!

GTTSR · 11/07/2026 10:15

Just received my tickets and seat allocation for athletics and managed to find a seating map. Not terrible. We are on the home straight just off the final bend. I would have picked a seat closer to the finish line as we are going for the running, but I’ll take it! Now just need to figure out how on earth we get there and back from the East Coast 🙈

LaliqueSaltGrinder · 11/07/2026 10:17

Is the athletics at Scotstoun? Train to Glasgow, then low level to Scotstoun. If it's anything like last time it'll be well-signposted from the station.
