Edinburgh hairdresser

Has anyone got a really good hairdresser, ideally in Edinburgh city centre? I need someone new who can give me ideas and guidance, not just cut what is already there. Happy to pay for a good and experienced stylist.

Thank you. I had a look at them last night. They are indeed expensive!

I have tried other hairdressers over the years but I always come back to Cheynes Lothian Road

Depends on your hair type but if you happen to have curls, Trigg in Dundas Street is absolutely outstanding. It's a small salon but I travel for miles to go there. Alisha does my hair - I've genuinely never had a hairdresser who listens so well to what I want.

Marco at Concrete Rose. the man is a genius when it comes to cutting. Again not cheap though….but you wear your hair everyday…
it’s not in the city centre, but out in Comely Bank, near Waitrose

Edinburgh city centre is going to be expensive. I am £160 for cut and colour in Dalkeith.
I used to go to Medusa at Teviot before my hairdresser moved.

Thanks. I had forgotten about Cheynes. I am sure I went there 30 years ago!

I would second Concrete Rose but I go to another stylist.

I go to George at Macgregors in Morningside. Costs £47 for cut and blow dry, I have been going to him for a number of years and he is very experienced.
