DCs off to uni—anyone want to join?

Now DD has got her grades needed for uni, I’m starting to get my head around that she’s only got 4 weeks before she leaves. I’m going to miss her so much! But im also very excited for her to have the uni experience. Hopefully it will all go according to plan.

The preparation (aka shopping) will
start soon.

@Edinburghuni well, I lived with her for 18 years so as long as you’re not looking to me for a legally binding recommendation . . . 😂 although her current flatmates like her well enough so maybe she’s correct when she says I’m “a fuddy duddy with impossibly high standards” Disclaimer - I am NOT!

Hello all! Joining in again as 2nd year approaches. hope everyone i add well!
need help i guess for DS. His 2 potential flatmates let him look for flats, found fault with all, and right at the last minute have decided they’ll stay at home, so he is a bit out on a limb. It’s nice having him around but his stress is getting to me! Advice please! He says he can’t go into a hall in year 2. I thymes getting down about it all.

He’s found a house share with 8 other people, it’s through an agent so none of them know each other. Hopefully 1 of them will be nice!
im pretty proud of how he’s sucked it up and got on with it tbh.
hope your daughter is out for freshers week! Wierd that they are suddenly second years!
