Best shops for baby stuff in Glasgow?

My DD is pregnant with her first baby and I want to take her for a shopping trip to look for stuff like a pram, car seat etc. She lives in Argyll and I'm just South of the Border so we reckon that meeting in Glasgow is our best bet as it's about in the middle time wise. However we're a bit clueless as I'm 2 decades out of date when it comes to baby shopping, she's never done it before and neither of us knows Glasgow very well. In my day it would have been a one stop shop to a big Mothercare but obviously not now. Could anyone recommend some good shops in Glasgow for us to look at? Thanks!

@MrsAvocet How exciting for you all 😊
I’d head straight for Glasgow Pram Centre - I’ve personally bought 2 prams and 3 car seats there 😊 They have just about every pram and car seat that you could want to view, plus a selection of furniture like bedside cribs/cots and some smaller baby bits 😊 It’s about a 20ish min walk from the main shopping area so not too far 😊
John Lewis in Buchanan Galleries also has a small baby department where you’ll get a bit of everything but it’s a very small selection compared to what’s on display at the pram centre 😊

Thanks both - I'll check that out. Is it a reasonably easy walk from Central Station? I could drive but Glasgow is an easy train journey for me so if it's not too far to walk or easily accessible by public transport I'd probably prefer to leave the car at home.

@MrsAvocet Easy flat walk 😊 probably 25 mins from Central. There’s a taxi rank right outside Central too so could always jump in a taxi - would take 5 mins 😊

Definitely Glasgow Pram Centre.
We furnished a nursery and bought a travel system and subsequent car seats from them. On one occasion they were reluctant to sell me a car seat without checking the fit until I reassured them that the seat was a like for like replacement of a seat that had been in the car when I was rear-ended and that a free fire brigade check had confirmed that I knew how to fit the seat. This was before online fit finder searches and Isofix so they wanted to be sure that they were selling the right seat.
