Weegies and Gig goers’ help sought

I’m picking up visitors from the Lana del Rey gig tonight at Hampden and taking them home to East Dunbartonshire. They don’t know Glasgow and they’re not able to walk further than a mile or so. I’ve never been to anything at Hampden or to any big gig myself so I feel pretty clueless. Could any kind mumsnetter please suggest a possible meeting place to pick them up after the gig?

They would probably be best to use the train from Central station to Mount Florida station to both go and return - then you could drop off and pick up in the City Centre

There is an Asda right across the road, I’m planning on getting my husband to pick us up from there tonight

No I’ve not so I’m hoping it’s ok😬

Unfortunately they don’t want to use public transport after the gig.

I’ve used the Asda for the same reasons, easy to get parked, easy to find and get to and from Hampden. HOWEVER be prepared for a wait getting out of the car park on to the main road, took me 1/2 an hour last time.

My husband couldn’t get in to Asda at all and ended up getting us on a random
street so I hope you managed ok

I came to a standstill on a random street about half a mile away from the Asda after arriving much later than I thought as the M8 slip roads onto the M73 were closed (on the way back so was the M80! We arrived home in east Dunbartonshire at 1.30am. Luckily only working part time today. How early is it okay to go to bed please 😆
asda was a good idea though. Thanks again.
