Hotel/B&B near Glasgow Uni

DD is going to an Open Day for Glasgow Uni and as we’re about 3 hours away thought it would be better to arrive the night before.
initially I’d been looking at places around Queen St station but it might be easier to be nearer the uni.
Anyone any ideas please!

Where's the open day?

If you preferred to stay in city centre it is less than a 10 min ride on underground from Buchanan street to Hillhead next to Glasgow university.

Sorry that would have been helpful, Gilmorehill Campus!

Buchanan Street underground entrance right next to Queen St station

Premier Inn would be a good shout

You'll definitely have more choice in the city centre, stay near Queen Street Station and then subway to Hillhead. Assuming you're coming by train?

Lots of hotels in Finnieston area and nice walk thru Kelvingrove park to the uni. If you want to save money hotels on the other side of the Clyde can be cheaper and if near one of the bridges not too far a walk (or a short subway ride).

I would stay in the Premier Inn in George Sq and use the subway. Alternatively (if it's cheaper) you could stay in the Premier Inn in Milngavie, get the train to Partick and walk up from there.

Albion Hotel or Ambassador Hotel in the West End are both nice and convenient

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, have booked the Buchanan St Premier Inn.
