Glasgow holiday let

Huge long shot. DD needs to be in Glasgow for 7/8 nights at the end of July. Worst timing as likely to be the first week of English school hols.

Any hidden gems for somewhere to stay?

Ideally self-catering as eating out is going to get a bit pricey for 8 nights. Thought I'd found an Aparthotel but prices have shot up since I first looked a week ago.

Doesn't have to be city centre, anywhere on the clockwork orange would work.

Failing that, any recommendations for cheap eating out?

Have you considered the university? They let out rooms in the halls during June/July/August when there are no students there. Pretty good value compared to a hotel.
