Hello there! We are planning to relocate from Surrey to Scotland and are currently trying to figure out secondary school options. We have a 12 (boy) 10 (girl) and 8 (boy) year old and are looking at Perthshire / Fife - considering St Leonard’s, Morrison, Dollar - would really appreciate any advice / feedback on these three schools to help with decision making? School will probably drive where we live so just trying to work out the best decision? We have also looked at strathallan but I think it’s probably not going to fit our budget with three kids. Thanks in advance for any help / advice

Do you intend to be in Scotland long term or are you likely to move back to England before your youngest leaves school? Dollar and Morrisons both follow the Scottish exam system while St Leonard's does GCSEs and then International Baccalaureate.

Thanks so much for coming back to me. We are planning a permanent move north of the wall 😀

I know some with dc at Morrisons, she highly rates it.

I spent time working in Dollar, a few steps from the school. While I didn’t have DC there, the kids were busy. Lots of activities after school such as sports and cadets. Often rows of coaches taking kids places. The facilities and setting look fabulous.

High School of Dundee. Loads of buses and just across from the Tay towns. Lovely, friendly place with superb sport, drama and music. The Head teacher is wonderful and they have great pastoral care. StL is in financial trouble just now. Morrisons is also small enough to fail.
