Does anyone know how much it will be for next academic year for those who’s household income exceeds the lower threshold? For us it’s currently £8,400 for 24/25 the year before it was £6,000 23/24 and it was £5k something in 22/23. I’m really hoping hoping it goes up by at least another £1k.
We use it to pay accommodation and if there’s anything left over, put it towards a monthly allowance. DC1 (going into 4th year in September) works 2 jobs to top this up and afford his expensive private rental. DC2 is going into 1st year and we’re currently looking at accommodation costs of between £4.5-7.5k (all-inc. self-catered halls)
I’m hopefully going to get more hours in my job so we can scrape them both through this overlap year.
