Cambuslang or Hamilton?

Moving due to work. Looking at new builds in Hamilton and Cambuslang areas. Bringing a child so need to consider schools (primary). Looking for opinions about the areas please? And preference to either place or anything else to consider or avoid?

Just thought it a bit strange that you mentioned the ‘grim’ areas in Hamilton (assuming by grim you meant deprived) that are next to the new build estates, without acknowledging that the new build estates in Cambuslang are exactly the same.

Lots of positives in both areas to focus on, personally I’d go with Hamilton if it was the right school catchments but that’s solely because in my opinion you could give kids more freedom earlier there, but I’d be happy enough in either.

Has anyone posted the index of deprivation? Yes, areas are much more than a ranking of factors that can indicate deprivation, but it does give sone helpful info if you don't know an area - dark blue are least deprived areas- dark red most.
