Can I pull out of a house sale?

Put an offer in on a house in Fife and was accepted two weeks ago. Listed now as under offer. Nothing signed.

I've since had a huge change of heart.

Can I withdraw my offer? Are there any legal ramifications?

Yes, if you haven’t signed you can pull out. If your lawyer has done any work on the sale you may get a bill but unlikely they will have done much at this stage

Why have you had a change of heart?

contrary to rumour it's largely the same as England until missives are signed
