Newton Farm in Cambuslang - smell?

Hello! We are planning to move to the Cambuslang area and have seen some nice houses around Newton Farm BUT, someone who used to live there (four years ago) said it smelled because of the water waste treatment centre nearby? Does anyone know if this is still the case?

Can be a bit stinky in high summer… but we don’t always get a summer…

Thanks for the reply that doesn't sound too bad!

Be careful with this, Newton may also be affected by Paterson’s Landfill.

The smell of which is absolutely horrific.

It affects Bits of Cambuslang, Mount Vernon, Baillieston and Broomhouse (The part of Baillieston that pretends it’s in Uddingston).

You do not want to live anywhere near this.
