Hi all new here.

need a little help my son has been transferred over to child disability payment from DLA and his claim runs out this coming December!
I have sent away a change of circumstances to child disability payment at the start of October, has anyone recently went through this process and knows how long it’s currently taking? My friends mum recently when through the process with adult disability payment and took around 4/5 months calling up is no help I always seem to get the same women and she says they don’t give updates as much now.. I’ve had lots of updates before when I’ve called when it’s not the same lady.

Not a change of circumstances but a renewal, 8 months and counting. I last contacted them about 3 weeks ago to be told it's still in a queue.

Oh my that’s ridiculous! Surely they can’t be that busy! There should be a certain time line for them to reach for completion

They've continued to pay at the current rate which is good but as we can't access anything additional, such as the +1 bus pass she would be entirled to, as we don't have a current award.

Yes that’s true! My sons COC is still waiting to be allocated to a case manager the form was received on the 11th October was advised it will probably be some wait as there very back logged! How long has people been waiting for a COC to be picked up by a case manager? I sent in a lot of supporting information

Last I heard they were still working on coc from Feb this year. New applications were taking priority and people who put in for their coc jan/Feb are only hearing back now so might be a fair wait yet unfortunately. New applications they were working through august/September applications as far as I'm aware.

@Glasgow1996 Has yours been updated/processed yet? I’ve been waiting 10 months for my DS’s COC, his review was due in December and still nothing.
