Glasgow Uni timetable nightmare

Ds had been accepted to do computer science at Glasgow uni but is finding it really difficult to construct a timetable as his classes all seem to clash and he fears he will be leaving the house at 7am and not getting home until 7pm each day which isn't what he expected (he will be commuting from north lanarkshire). Think he wished he had chosen Strathclyde like his sister did!

The website is clunky and slow and he doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. He has to fit in lectures and labs and tutorials for 3 subjects and it's just not happening.

Is anyone else having similar issues and can commiserate or work out the best way to help him?

It took hours for my DS to navigate the registration for Economics at Glasgow this year. The system was slow, clunky and very frustrating. It was a terrible experience for new students to encounter and I’m not surprised people go elsewhere. Loads of people were complaining about it on TikTok over the past week. It can’t help student satisfaction rates. I hope your DS is settled at Strathclyde, OP.

Thanks @Periodicnamechanger , he has just finished 1st year at strathclyde. He went in through clearing and did computing and maths as straight computing wasn't available. He's now been given permission to switch to just computer science for 2nd year. It's a much less stressful system and also less travelling for him
