Looking for ladies friendly golf club

I've recently started golf lessons and quite like the sport. I'm looking to join a golf club with a fair amount of middle-age female golfers (I'm 43). I'm relatively new to Edinburgh/Scotland and don't have any female friends (yet) who golf. Could I have recommendations for a golf club that's friendly and welcoming to women? I've only seen one club that has a female PGA coach (Swanston), wondering if there are others? I know North Berwick has a female coach too but it's a bit far to travel to regularly.

I haven't used it myself, and it depends which side of Edinburgh you are, but Niddry Castle golf club at Winchburgh seem to be really pushing their women + kids golf.

Where did/do you get your lessons? I've been thinking about doing this for a while so a recommendation in Edinburgh area would be good! Never played golf before but always fancied it.

I took my first lesson at Dunbar. However I’ve taken the rest of my lessons at Braid Hills Golf Centre. It’s great because there is a covered driving range so you can practise before/after the lesson. Just wouldn’t recommend doing a lesson on the weekend because you’ll have to queue for a bay at the driving range. This place is packed on the weekends!

Quite a few friends are members at Kingsknowe Golf Club
