I’m English, living in Scotland. I’m travelling to see family soon, with dc ranging from 3 to 13. They’ve suggested books about ‘where you’re from’ as gifts, any suggestions for fun/educational/history books about Scotland that are a bit special ? They don’t have to be new. But maybe not too dry either! I’m thinking at least one ‘Oor Wullie’ book for starters. What’s a good one about Burns? Thank you 🙏

Can recommend David Macphails History of Scotland and his Atlas of Scotland
Also have a look at Floris Books, myths and legends compiled by Lari Don and for the 3 year old books by Kate Mclelland
