Glasgow taxi firms with DBS clearance?

Hi, this is a bit niche but I'm looking for any recommendations on Glasgow based taxi firms who already have local authority contracts (so would or should have had vetting to get the contracts) that I can contact for quotes for a taxi contract. We have funding for this & the exisiting company we are using are turning up late quite often.

If anyone has suggestions to save me wading through what's coming up via Google, so I can approach to get a quote, I'd appreciate any information.

Thanks.

It should be a condition of the individual taxi drivers license that they have DBS checks.

Check with Glasgow council?

In Scotland it's PVG (protecting vulnerable groups) and not DBS which is England/Wales only.

There is lots about it here: https://www.gov.scot/publications/taxi-private-hire-car-licensing-best-practice-licensing-authorities-taxi-private-hire-car-operators-3rd-edition/pages/10/ If you google "PVG taxi Glasgow" you will get a few results to choose from.

Thanks for the information, that's helpful.

I was just going to say about the PVG system here as it will help if you are googling. I’m sorry I can’t help with forms as I am in Edinburgh but the council should be able to advise if you call and ask who their contracted firm is for schools
